35th ANNUAL SPORTS MEET HELD AT MATRI VIDYA NIKETAN

 

  Maitri Vidya Niketan, English Medium Senior Secondary School Risali, Bhilai hosted its 35th Annual Sports Meet. A day filled with fervour and excitement amidst thrills, shrills and cheers. The Chief Guest for the day was Shri Bhupendra Kuldeep, Registrar- Hemchand Yadav University, Durg, CG and Dr. R.K.Shrivastava, Executive Committee Member, CG Olympic Association, President, CG Cycle Polo Association as Guest of honour. Founder Member MVN, Smt. Rajam Sudhakaran, Directors S.Sajeev and S.Sajan, Principal Bhilai Maitri College Dr. Surekha Vinod Patil, Director and Principal Dr. Sajitha Thambi, Vice Principal Dr. Beena Sajeev, Headmistress Smt.Nishi Sajan were also present on the occasion.

Principal MVN Dr. Sajitha Thambi in her welcome address expressed that teamwork, leadership, empathy and handling defeat with dignity is witnessed among the students today which also teaches them to build emotional strength. She also threw light on the importance of sports in life followed by sports achievements of MVN students at District, State and national levels. She stressed on the fact that “Participation is more important than winning”.

The Chief Guest declared the Meet open, pigeons and balloons were set free symbolizing the goal to be set in life, The "Guard of Honour" was presented to the dignitaries by inspecting the MVN Scout and Guide squads. The Chief Guest also administered the sports pledge to MVN Head-Boy, Head-Girl, Vice Head-Boy, Vice Head-Girl, Discipline Captains and all House Captains.

This was followed by the March Past by the scout & guide along with discipline & house captains. The colourful field displays with themes like Sports drill melody, Zumba, etc kept the audience engaged. Various track events were held along with Tug-of-war. It was a mega event and was culminated with the award ceremony where the students were awarded trophies and medals by the Chief Guest and Special Guest

Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Shri Bhupendra Kuldeep expressed his happiness to witness such a wonderful event where a lot of enthusiasm and fun was witnessed among the students. He urged the students to follow certain principles like being positive, reading books, giving time for the parents also thanking them for their efforts. And lastly, they promise to create a good and positive society around them.

Speaking on the occasion Guest of Honour Dr.R.K.Shrivastava congratulated the teachers and students for their efforts to make this event a successful one. He also congratulated the Management for the excellent institute that they have manifested. Urged the parents not to pressurise the students for marks as these exams.

It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish. The Vice Principal MVN Dr. Beena Sajeev administered the vote of thanks. She thanked all the teaching and non-teaching staff for their cooperation and support and advised children to keep up their sportsman spirit.

The program was jointly anchored by the Headmistress Mrs.Nishi Sajan, Mrs.Srilata Dhavala, Mrs.Reema Rajeev and Mrs.Bindu Ramdas in accordance with PTI Mrs. Soniya Garhwal, Mr Ramesh Kumar and Ms.A Priya Rao. The Sports Meet concluded with Retreat beat and National Anthem.

35th Annual Day Celebrations

  MVN"s 35th Annual Day, themed Aspire, Achieve, and Progress, was a vibrant celebration at our campus, uniting students, teachers, and parents to witness the kaleidoscope of human emotions. The Resplendent Evening was graced by distinguished guests, including President MECA, Smt. Rajam Sudhakaran, Directors Shri. S. Sajeev, and S. Sajan, Director and Principal Dr. Sajitha Thambi, Vice-Principal Dr Beena Sajeev, Head Mistress Mrs Nishi Sajan and other notable figures.

Dr. R.N. Singh, Principal of Govt. V.Y.T.PG Autonomous College, Durg (CG), was the Chief Guest, and Dr. L. S. Nigam, an esteemed academician, was the Special Guest of Honour. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.

Shri S. Sajeev, MECA Director extended a warm welcome, reminiscing about the Founder President, Late Shri. Sudhakaran Sir, and acknowledging the challenges faced during the pandemic. Director and Principal Dr. Sajitha Thambi presented the Annual report, recognizing students outstanding achievements across various categories. She also lauded their dedication, setting new academic standards, and inspiring their peers. The school magazine MAITRI for the year 2022-23 was unveiled during this momentous occasion.

Awards were presented to students in categories including academic excellence, co-scholastic achievements, and the most disciplined student. Scholarships were granted to X & XII students who excelled in boards, as well as financially disadvantaged students who demonstrated academic excellence. Vice-Principal Dr. Beena Sajeev orchestrated the award ceremony.

Chief Guest Dr. R. N. Singh commended MVN for its accomplishments, urging parents to nurture their childrens choices and values. Special Guest Dr. L. S. Nigam stressed the importance of instilling values in education, shaping students into responsible individuals.

The Cultural Extravaganza showcased a rich array of performances, with themes like Colorful India, Save the Tiger, Ek Bharat Shresht Bharath, Incredible India, and Hope For Gender Equality. Students exhibited their artistic talents through songs and dances.

Headmistress Mrs Nishi Sajan delivered the Vote of thanks. The event was skillfully conducted by an adept team of anchors, and the evening culminated with the National Anthem.

Dussehra and Diwali Celebrations

  Students and staff of Maitri Vidya Niketan celebrated Diwali and Dussehra in their campus with full zeal and enthusiasm. A special assembly was conducted by Nehru House wherein students spoke about the significance of these festivals and how they are celebrated throughout the country. "The festival of lights" shares the idea, "Virtue has always triumphed over evil, knowledge over ignorance, light over darkness and hope over dejection" and Dussehra also known as “Vijayadashami”, unites people through its rich history, rituals and hopes, symbolizing the triumph of virtue over evil. An exciting and interesting blend of musical programs including eye-catching dance (Garba) and songs were presented by the students of all the wings.

The program was presided over by President Smt. Rajam Sudhakaran, Director S Sajeev and Vice-Principal Dr. Beena Sajeev.

Speaking on the occasion Vice Principal Madam congratulated everyone on the occasion and appreciated the efforts of the house wardens and cultural in-charge. She also wished everyone a Happy and prosperous Diwali. The entire show brought joy to the hearts of the audience which they will reminisce about. The program was anchored by Rajveer Chopra and Shreya Banchor of Class XI and XII respectively.

MECA Paid Tributes To Sree Narayan Guru

Maitri Vidya Niketan EMSS paid tributes to Sree Narayan Guru on his 95th Samadhi Day with mass prayers and annadhanam (mass meals donated to the public). Sree Narayan Guru was a noted saint, social reformer, and prophet from Kerala. The saint attained Samadhi on 20th September 1928. During this occasion, the institution"s president and esteemed guests offered floral tributes to his portrait and lit a ceremonial lamp. Guests were honored with bouquets. Presiding over the event, the President of the Institution, Mrs. Rajam Sudhakaran, shed light on Shri Narayana Guru"s life and portrayed his struggles during his childhood, emphasizing the significance of his journey and revolutionary changes he brought in Kerala for the upliftment of the people. Renowned Chhattisgarh region litterateur, Dr. Nalini Shrivastava, presented various remarkable anecdotes from Shri Narayana Guru"s life in her address and inspired everyone to find meaning in their lives through his teachings. Dr. Paradesi Ram Verma, a senior litterateur from Chhattisgarh, expressed his thoughts, emphasizing the need to internalize the wisdom of saints and stating that education is the sole means to human liberation. Director, Mr. S.Sajan, addressed the gathering, highlighting Shri Narayana Guru"s numerous contributions to human development and how many of his disciples have attained high positions worldwide. He also spoke about Shri Narayana Guru"s comparative analysis of past and present social systems. The event witnessed the presence of the Institution"s President, Mrs. Rajam Sudhakaran, Principal and Director Dr Sajitha Thambi, Directors Shri S Sajeev and Shri S Sajan, Vice-Principal Dr. Beena Sajeev, Headmistress Mrs. Nishi Sajan, Principal of Maitri Vidya Niketan Patan, Mrs. Ambili, and Principal of Bhilai Maitri College, Dr. Surekha Patil, along with the school and college families. The event was jointly coordinated by Mrs. Saraswati Chaurasia and Mrs. Kiran Tatia.

 

MAITRI VIDYA NIKETAN ENGLISH MEDIUM SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL, RISALI, CELEBRATED 77TH INDEPENDENCE DAY

77th Independence Day was observed in Maitri Vidya Niketan with pomp and enthusiasm. The school celebrated it with full patriotic fervor. The whole school campus was decorated with colourful flowers, flags, face tones, tri-color balloons and stickers.

President MECA, Smt Rajam Sudhakaran, Director Shri S. Sajeev Director MECA and Principal Dr. Sajitha Thambi, Principal Bhilai Maitri College Dr. Surekha Patil, Vice Principal Dr.Beena Sajeev graced the occasion with their eminent presence.

The program commenced with the hoisting of the tri-colour by all the distinguished dignitaries followed by the National Anthem.

The primary, secondary and senior secondary students dressed in tri colors presented a variety of patriotic recitations, group songs, group dances and speeches in English & Hindi language. Two beautiful acts were also performed which stole the hearts with inspiring thoughts.

Speaking on the occasion Principal MVN highlighted the British rule over India and the period when they came as traders and later colonised the whole country with their atrocities and made us their slaves. She urged all the students to grow up as responsible citizens of the Country and to imbibe the thought right within "Nation First"

Later the prize distribution for various co-curricular activities was also done. The program concluded with sweets distribution leaving everyone reminiscing about the function. The program was jointly anchored by Shreya Banchor and Abhiram Aji of Xll and Anushka Ray Sharma of Xl B and Bholeshwari Thakur of Vl B.

ONAM, RAKHSHABANDHAN, AND GURUJAYANTHI CELEBRATIONS MARKED AT MAITRI VIDYA NIKETAN ENGLISH MEDIUM SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL, RISALI.

A harmonious amalgamation of culture and festivity resonated within the walls of Maitri Vidya Niketan, Risali, as the celebrations of Onam, Rakshabandhan, and Guru Jayanthi unfolded with utmost enthusiasm and zeal. Students from the primary, secondary, and senior secondary levels adorned themselves in traditional cultural attire, lending an aura of authenticity to the proceedings. The event comprised a splendid array of performances, including skits, dances, and group renditions of renowned regional melodies, presenting a delightful spectacle to the audience. Undoubtedly, the highlight of the occasion was the Thiruvadira performance, a traditional dance originating from Kerala, gracefully presented by young girls dressed in traditional Kerala garb. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of notable dignitaries, including President of MECA, Smt. Rajam Sudhakaran; Director of MECA and Principal, Dr. Sajitha Thambi; Directors S. Sajeev and S. Sajan; Principal of Bhilai Maitri College, Dr. Surekha Patil; Vice Principal, Dr. Beena Sajeev; Headmistress, Mrs. Nishi Sajan; dedicated educators from both the school and college; as well as the diligent students.

In her address, the Principal expressed her well-wishes to all attendees and conveyed her delight at the elegant and splendid presentation of this culturally diverse event.The proceedings were eloquently orchestrated by Dolly Chandrakar and Aditya Singh, both students of class XI, who shared the role of anchoring the program seamlessly.

The Investiture Ceremony was held at Maitri Vidya Niketan School campus to encourage and kindle leadership qualities in our young prodigies. Among the dignitaries we had President MECA Smt.Rajam Sudhakaran, Director Shri,S.Sajeev and Shri.S.Sajan, Director MECA and Principal MVN Dr.Sajitha Thambi, Vice Principal Dr.Beena Sajeev, Headmistress Smt.Nishi Sajan graced the occasion with their eminent presence. The Student Council for the session 2023-24 was formed. Students were chosen for the School Posts and House Posts. The Ceremony successfully inducted the newly elected and selected members of the school"s prefectorial board. The oath was administered by Principal MVN Dr.Sajitha Thambi to Head Boy -Abhishek Singh (XII B) Head Girl- Anjali Kurre(XII C), Vice Head Boy- Mrityunjai Tiwari (XII C), Vice Head Girl Tanisha Dewangan(XII A). All the 16 house captains of the four houses of the school that is Gandhi House, Nehru House, Tagore House, and Tilak House were administered the oath by the Vice Principal MVN Dr.Beena Sajeev and it was followed by Headmistress MVN Smt.Nishi Sajan administering the oath to the 36 discipline captains Prefects were honoured and congratulated by our respected Principal madàm and reminded them that they are the torchbearers of all the values that the School stands for and urged them to take responsibility with commitment and integrity. "Coming together is the beginning, staying together is progress and working together is success" Saying these words Director MECA Shri.S.Sajeev congratulated the appointees and urged that participation in all academic activities should also be done. Director S.Sajan also Congratulated the students for their appointments and urged them to adhere to their duties with sincerity. The anchoring of the program was jointly done by Mrs.Srilata Dhavala and Mrs.Bindu Ramdas.

 

 

GANDHI HOUSE

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON WORLD POPULATION DAY

A Special Assembly was conducted to celebrate "World Population Day" on 11.07.2023. Students recited poems, delivered speeches and also a short skit which dealt with the reasons for the population increase. The students linked the menace of population increase with issues like poverty, unemployment, lack of education, water scarcity and accommodation. Family planning is not only a matter of human rights but is also central to women empowerment, reducing poverty and achieving sustainable growth. The students also expressed their deep concern and care for the healthy growth and safety of the human race. This special assembly was conducted to bring awareness about the dire consequences of the population explosion. The natural resources may deplete if there would be a huge growth in population and so it is we who need to serve humanity by encouraging sustainable development through the judicious use of natural resources.
